A nice place with varied selection of food and drinks. Seems like the restaurant is aiming high but the quality of the dishes we had did not meet our expectations. Hopefully we were just a bit unlucky with our experience. The presentation of the dishes we ordered was great initially, but unfortunately the combination of flavours and textures could be better composed, thus the three star rating. For example carrot garniture served in three versions, both mash, fried and steamed, but all tasting more or less the same. The melted parmesan on the ravioli dish was very salty, with what felt like a layer of lemon juice floating around the pasta. Could then hardly taste the mushroom filling of the ravioli, the sauce drowned the flavour of the pasta. It must be mentioned, though, that the pasta it self was perfectly al dente and seemed like good quality. The service was a bit slow and staff had a somewhat nonchalant approach. The restraurant is located in a lovely quiet area close to Rotterdam centraal, placed in an interjunction next to other restaurants and cafees, with outdoor seating. The area has a lovely vibe to it and seems to get busy for dinner, worth a visit!

A Regrettable Experience at Le Nord, Rotterdam I was initially drawn to Le Nord in Rotterdam because of its promising reviews and the allure of its menu. However, the evening turned out to be a stark departure from my expectations. From the outset, the service was glaringly inadequate. I got the distinct impression our female server was deliberately avoiding our table, and there were moments I genuinely wondered if she'd forgotten to relay our orders to the kitchen. Our patience was truly tested when a simple request for a bottle of wine took 20 minutes to be fulfilled. But the real frustration set in when we waited close to 2 hours for our main course. When it eventually arrived, it was a sheer disappointment. The meat dish, despite being priced at 31 EUR, was disappointingly bland and lacked the expected flavor, as can be seen in the photo. I had envisioned a memorable evening to bid farewell to a colleague, but the ordeal at Le Nord marred the occasion. Given its location and ambiance, the restaurant had such potential to offer a great dining experience. The area boasts many other dining options that undoubtedly provide better service and food quality. After this experience, I'm certain I won't be returning to Le Nord, and I'd recommend others to venture elsewhere in the neighborhood.

I like this place for a wine, but the food isn’t good. I was served avocado toast and the second I smelt it I knew the avocado was expired. Sure enough it was inedible. The kitchen offered to replace but the food had already taken some time to come out and we no longer had time to order and eat. The staff offered egg rolls as a gluten free replacement but this was not good advice (looking online I could see they were not gluten-free). The 3 other meals served were average. Earlier in the visit a server who served us admitted she was very sick with a cold and was about to go home- sorry but that’s not really okay… we don’t want to get sick. I’ll come back for a wine, but for food: never again.

Have booked a table for two to meet with a friend of my. She lived in London and now moved to Amsterdam, so have been to many nice restaurants. So, we were nicely impressed by the great service, nice menu and quality of all the dishes we've ordered. Amazing choice of wines!! Pay attention to a cheese menu, goes accompanied by fig bread and jam. Highly recommended
